Richard Blackford

Blackford, Richard C. - Age 101, of  Flushing, died January 16, 2022, the son of George and Juanita (Cuvrell) Blackford. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army Air Corps serving from December of 1942 to December of 1944.  Richard married Marjorie Wander on November 20, 1940. He was in business for himself the majority of his career. He and his brother, George, operated Blackford Brothers Underground Construction and, later, Holly Sand and Gravel. Richard concluded his career with FabIron.  Surviving are: his wife of 81 years Marjorie; three children, Ann (Paul) Wick of Flushing, Winston (Janet) Blackford of Lander WY, Cassandra Blackford of Flushing; five grandchildren, Daniel (Ann) Wick, David (Kelley) Wick, Julianne (Michael) Geyser, Richonda (James) Klaassen, Tiffany (Fred) Marjerrison; several great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson. The family thanks Rachel Cassels and the staff of Victoria House for their loving care of our father.
