Rhonda Jean Dosh

Rhonda Jean (Harvel) Dosh of Grand Blanc, age 64, died Wednesday October 11, 2023.  Memorial service will be held at 4:00 pm, Tuesday October 17, 2023 at South Baptist Church of Flint 4091 Van Slyke Rd, Flint, MI with Pastor Scott Snyder officiating.  Family will receive visitors at South Baptist Church on Tuesday from 2pm until time of service.  In lieu of flowers, those who desire may donate to one of her three favorite charities, Pregnancy Resource Center of Flint, Project Forty Inc, and South Baptist Church Missions Committee.  

Rhonda Dosh was born in Detroit, Michigan on November 4, 1958 the daughter of the late Charles and Norma (Burke) Harvel, and was a lifelong resident in the Genesee County area.  She was joined in marriage to her first and only love, Matthew Don Dosh on August 13, 1977.  With a beautiful, adventure-filled 46 years together, it was obvious that her favorite place in life was next to him.  She was a faithful member of South Baptist Church of Flint serving in varying capacities and volunteered countless hours, including the missions committee, missions trips, Carmen Ainsworth tutoring and many more.   

Rhonda was steady and methodical, quiet natured and had a gentle voice, but defended the underdog countless times.  She changed policies and the culture of businesses for the better.  She was a ruthless peanuts player and lover of all games, despite her T-Rex sized arms which she reminded us of often.  Rhonda loved her family and those she adopted in as family. Many sought out her council and wisdom and was even therapist to therapists.  Laughing came as easily as breathing to her, except for when the inevitable laugh attack would hit, a blessing to anyone who had a chance to witness it.  As the family wordsmith and craftsman of sarcasm, don’t tell her that we’re pretty sure there will be grammatical errors in this obituary. She had the pressing matter of being in the presence of God, the One who saved her and loved her most.  We think she’ll forgive the excessive commas…maybe. 

Surviving are her children, Jennifer (Matthew) Foss, Adrienne Dosh, and Kaitlin (Jon) DePoppe, Grandchildren: Silas, Isaiah, Cedar, Aliza, and Caden, as well as her siblings, Pastor Ric (Cindy) Harvel and Rochelle (Hugh) Donnelly and many nieces, nephews and extended family.
