Rev. Nyle Ruppert

RUPPERT, Rev. Nyle Bruce - Age 71, of Niles formerly of Lennon, died Sunday, December 21, 2008 at Lakeland Memorial Hospital, Niles. Funeral Services will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday, December 24, 2008 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek, with Rev. Daniel Miller and Rev. DeWeerd Smith officiating. Burial in Dover Township Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM. Ruppert was born September 23, 1938 in Ellsworth Township, the son of George David and Effie Belle (Wilder) Ruppert. He received a Bachelors Degree in Theology from Owosso Bible College. He married Doris Sexton September 1, 1962 in Sterling. Rev. Ruppert had resided in Niles for the past 9 years coming from Lennon. He pastored the Lennon Wesleyan Church for 30 years. He served on many boards for the East Michigan District. Surviving are: wife, Doris; daughter, Vonda and husband Rod Snow of Niles; 2 grandsons, Kendall and Bailey Snow; 3 brothers, Donald and wife Shirley Ruppert of Luther, Paul and wife Evelyn Ruppert of Reed City, Dale and wife Linda Ruppert of Luther; sister, Verna and husband Gerald Hyde of Luther; sister-in-law, Josephine Ruppert of Luther; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Bruce Ruppert June 22, 1988; 4 brothers, Arland, Ernie, Robert and Carl Ruppert.
