MOORE, Rev. L. S. 'Joe' - Age 79, of Fenton, died Wednesday, September 17, 2003 at Genesys Care Center, Goodrich. A Funeral Service will be held 11AM Saturday, September 20, 2003 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Rd., Fenton, Pastor Chris Tenneriello officiating. Interment in Oakwood Cemetery, Fenton. Visitation will be held Friday 2-4 and 6-9PM at the funeral home. Those desiring, may make memorial contributions in Rev. Moore's name to Bibles International c/o Bethany Baptist Church. Rev. Moore was born February 3, 1924 in Ypsilanti, MI, the son of Herman A. and Roxie (Robinson) Moore and was married to Helen June Ellendorf on July 26, 1945 in Holland, MI. Rev. Moore graduated from Ypsilanti High School and attended Moody Bible College in Chicago, Illinois. He graduated from Detroit Bible College and was a veteran of the U.S. Army having served during WWII. Rev. Moore was the past Minister of Berean Baptist Church in Belleville, MI, First Baptist Church in Milford, MI and First Baptist Church in Granite, MN and was a member of the General Association of Regular Baptist Churches and Past President of the Committee of Missionary Evangelists. Rev. Moore is survived by: wife, Helen of Fenton; daughter, Sharon Ruth Chirrup of Homo Sassa, FL; brother, Kenneth A. Moore and wife Shirley of Satellite Beach, FL; brother, Robert D. Moore and wife Joan of Palm Harbor, FL; and special friends, Adrian and wife Kathy Warford of Fenton. Rev. Moore was preceded in death by his parents.
