JONES, Rev. Forrest C. -- Age 87, of Durand, formerly of Piggott, Arkansas, died Tuesday, December 5, 2006 at Argentine Care Center.  Masonic Services under the auspices of Morning Star Lodge 556 F & A.M. and Funeral services with Rev. Theron Russell, II, officiating will begin at 5 PM Friday, December 8 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek. Visitation will be 6-8 PM Thursday and 12 PM until the time of service Friday. A Funeral Service will also be held 11 AM Monday at Irby Funeral Home, Piggott, Arkansas with interment in the Piggott Cemetery. Those desiring may make contributions to American Diabetes Association.  Forrest was born September 11, 1919 in Caruthersville, Missouri, the son of James C. and Sarah (Perkins) Jones.  He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and was awarded a Purple Heart serving in WWII. He married Margie Mae Book June 10, 1939 in Kennett, MO.  He was employed by GM as  Journeyman Welder retiring in 1977 with 30 years of service. Rev. Jones pastored to many General Baptist churches in Michigan, Arkansas, Missouri and Kentucky.  He was a lifetime member of the V.F.W. in Rogers, Arkansas, and the Morning Star Lodge #556 F. & A.M.  He is survived by: wife, Margie Mae; 5 children, Dewane Jones and wife Josephina of Arkansas, Forrest 'Dick' Jones of Texas, James C. Jones and wife Cindy of Davison, Christine and husband Ronald Pollok of Durand, Aaron Jones and wife Deborah of Mt. Morris; 21 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; 2 daughters, Anita Cousins and Betty Ziemke; 3 sisters, Willie Gardner, Lula Bradford, Alberta Williams.
