Rev. Hoose

HOOSE, Rev. Milton Earl - age 87, of Cadillac, passed away Tuesday, October 16, 2018. Funeral services will be held 1 PM Tuesday, October 23 at Benchmark Church, 5530 Runyan Lake Rd., Fenton, his son, Rev. Tom Hoose officiating. Interment will follow in Gardner Cemetery, Fenton. Visitation will be 4-8 PM Monday at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Rd., Fenton; and 12-1 PM Tuesday at the church. Rev. Hoose was born June 17, 1931 in Snover, MI, the son of Rev. Irving and Verna (Griswold) Hoose. He married Betty Brower on July 22, 1950 in Fenton. He Pastored for 52 years in the Church of the Nazarene and served as District Superintendent. He also worked for Case Construction in Flint building churches and was a builder all his life. He built something new at each church he served. Surviving are: his beloved wife of 68 years, Betty; 5 children, Thomas (Debra) Hoose of Fenton, Stephen (Sheree) Hoose of Fenton, Beth (Stephen) Reynolds of Mayo, SC, David (Teresa) Hoose of Venice, FL, Joel (Paulette) Hoose of Fenton; 10 grandchildren, Tony (Samantha) Hoose, Cary Hoose, Matthew Hoose, Stephenie (Greg) Cornell, Laura Dale, Emily Pruitt, Danielle Simon, Zachary Dale, Tricia Monk, Tiffany Monk; many great- grandchildren; sister, Alberta Bingle; and extended family, CJ and Charlie Callaghan.
