Ret. SFC Jack Calvin BEATTY Jr.

BEATTY Jr., Ret. SFC Jack Calvin, age 61, of Mt. Morris, passed away Tuesday, June 19, 2012 at Brian's House, Davison. Funeral services will be 10:30AM Friday at Montrose Family Worship Center, 9453 Vienna Rd., Montrose. Pastor Bob Leming officiating. Interment at Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly. Visitation will be 12PM - 7PM Thursday at Montrose Family Worship Center, Montrose. In Jack's memory, donations may be made to the Great Lakes National Cemetery for promotion and maintenance of the cemetery Jack was born December 23, 1950 in Lapeer the son of the late Jack Calvin Beatty, Sr., and Eleanora Moon. He graduated from Lapeer High School in 1969 and retired from the U.S Army after 22 years of duty. Surviving are his wife, Jennifer; children, Tanya Jones and Dennis Beatty both of Sarasota FL, David Smith of San Diego, CA, Krystal Romain of Burton, Misty Smith of Mt. Morris, Heather, Ryan, Haley and Holly Major all of Mt. Morris; 10 grandchildren; 5 siblings, Beverly Spangler of Sarasota, FL, Megan Miller of AL, Wendy Barnett of Davison, Delbert Huntsinger of GA, Keith Beatty of Flint; mother-in-law, Nancy Beecher, fathers-in-law, Elbert "Pops" Haley and Reginald Beecher. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Kathleen Wardon. Arrangements by Sharp Funeral Homes, 6063 Fenton Rd., Flint.
