Rene Gramz

Gramz, Rene' Marie (Gonyea) -- Age 62, of Swartz Creek, died March 9, 2016. Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11 AM Saturday March 12 at St. Pius X Catholic Church, 3139 Hogarth Ave., Flint. Fr. Robert Copeland celebrant. Visitation will be held 5 - 8 PM Friday at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek. Visitation will also be from 10 AM until time of mass at the church on Saturday. Those desiring may make contributions to the Humane Society of Genesee County. Rene' was born July 28, 1953 in Flint the daughter of Clarence and Helen (Williams) Gonyea. She married Joseph Gramz on September 29, 1973 in Flint. She attended St. Agnes and then graduated from Powers Catholic High School in 1971. She was employed at Sears as a Credit Authorization Manager for many years. Rene' was a member of St. Pius X. She volunteered at the Soup Kitchen and rescued pets. She is survived by her husband Joe; mother, Helen Gonyea; sister JoAnn (Peter) Sinclair; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, Clarence Gonyea; 2 brothers, Richard and Duane Gonyea. Tributes may be shared on the obituaries page at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com.
