CAIN, Rena J. - age 91, passed away Thursday, May 10, 2012 at Willowbrook Manor. Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11:30 AM Wednesday, May 16, 2012 at St. Pius X Catholic Church, G 3139 Hogarth Ave., Flint, Fr. Robert Copeland celebrating. Burial in Sunset Hills Cemetery. Visitation will be held at Sharp Funeral Homes, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek Tuesday from 1-4 and 6-8 PM and at church Wednesday from 10:30 AM until time of Mass. A vigil service will be held at the funeral home 7:00 PM Tuesday. Those desiring may make contributions to St. Pius X Catholic Church. Mrs. Cain was born October 10, 1920 in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, Canada, the daughter of Egisto and Teresa (Donzelli) Perugini. Rena married Earl Cain in Brimley, in 1942 and he preceded her in death January 18, 1982. She was a member of St. Pius X Catholic Church since it was built in 1955. She was also a member of the V.F.W. Auxiliary Post #3087 and Carmen Ainsworth Senior Center. Member of U.A.W. Local 598. Rena enjoyed fishing, playing cards and having a garden. Mrs. Cain is survived by: son, Richard and wife Karen Cain of Swartz Creek; daughter-in-law, Kay Cain of Caseville; grandchildren, Rodney and wife Katherine Cain of Swartz Creek, Kenneth and wife Deborah Cain of Moscow, ID and Wendy Filipiak of Chesterfield; great grandchildren, Megan, Aaron and Aiden Cain and Lance and Alex Filipiak; brother and sisters, Elio, Yola and Lana all from Canada and Alba of WI; best friend, Pauline Parker.
