Rebecca Cubr

CUBR, Rebecca Brandt (Becky) - age 54, of Fenton, died Sunday, July 12, 2020 at her residence surrounded by her loving family. Due to Covid-19 restrictions, a private service will be held. Those desiring may make memorial contributions to the American Cancer Society (www.cancer.org) or American Red Cross (www.redcross.org). Becky was born December 6, 1965 in Flint, the daughter of Carl and Nancy (Whitmire) Brandt. She graduated from Flint Northern High School in 1984, then attended Michigan State University, earning both Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees.  She married Tony Cubr on February 10, 1990. Becky worked at General Motors Customer Care and Aftersales for 20 years before leaving to pursue her dream career of being a professional photographer. She photographed many Fenton High School sporting events and senior pictures. Becky truly enjoyed spending time with loved ones, especially at the family cottage up north.  Surviving are: husband, Tony; two sons, Matthew Cubr of Boston, MA and Scott Cubr of Fenton; parents, Carl and Nancy Brandt of Flint; siblings, David (Susan) Brandt of Swartz Creek, Doug (Suzanne) Brandt of Rochester; and Debby (Scott) Hedges of Bloomfield Hills; also many nieces and nephews.
