R.B. Skelton

Skelton, R.B. - Age 82, of Flint Township, died April 12, 2024. There will be no services held. Arrangements provided by Sharp Funeral Home & Cremation Center 6063 Fenton Rd. Grand Blanc. Those desiring may make contributions to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. 
R.B. was born January 6, 1942 in Dunkin County, Missouri. He grew up in Hollywood, Missouri, where he and his family were cotton pickers. R.B. was a proud alumni of The School of The Ozarks in Look Out, Missouri. He was a proud Army veteran stationed in Germany as a topographer which was a perfect assignment for his meticulous nature. R.B. worked at General Motors-Metal Fab as an electrician for 33 years. He was a man who took his responsibilities seriously, who took care of his family the best way he knew. R.B. was generous, hard working and kind. He was a man who knew family wasn't always just blood related, that love is what makes you family. 
He is survived by his daughter, Lisa Skelton Phalen; sons, Thomas Pruett, Gerald Pruett; grandchildren, Ryan Pruett, Colin Pruett, Jolene Pruett, Jeri Rhea Pruett, Vanessa Phalen, Justin Phalen; great-grandchildren, Khai and Nate Phalen, Anthony, Trinity and Serenity Pruett, Hensley, Corbin and Reid Pruett;  sisters, Nell Benefied, Carolyn Collins, Mary Earp, Jane Eliassen, and Twilla Green; brother, Lewis (Bill) Skelton;  many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father Clyde Skelton; mother Opal (Bagby) Skelton; step-mother, Betty Skelton; grandson, James Bloss; brother, Glen Ray Skelton; sisters, Laverne Greathouse and June Dunning; Tributes may be shared on the obituaries page of www.sharpfuneralhomes.com.
