Raymond John SCHULTZ

September 3, 1940 — January 20, 2010

SCHULTZ, Raymond John -- Age 69, of Flint, died January 20, 2010 at Avalon Hospice. Services will be 11 AM Saturday, January 23 at Hope United Methodist Church, G-4467 Beecher Rd., Flint, Pastor Joyce Johnston officiating. Visitation will be 5-8 PM Friday at Hope United Methodist Church. In lieu of flowers those desiring may make contributions to King of Glory Lutheran Church, 6012 River Rd., Flushing, MI 48433. Mr. Schultz was born September 3, 1940 in Detroit the son of Reinhold Karl Schultz and Eleonore (Wolf) Schultz. He was raised in Charlevoix. He was a 1963 graduate of Michigan Technological University and continued to be a big supporter of the University. Mr. Schultz married Shirley Avery on January 29, 1966 in Flint. He worked as a Metallurgical Engineer for General Motors and retired in 1995. Golfing was his passion. He enjoyed playing cards, travel, and his family and friends. Surviving are: wife Shirley; daughter, Sheryl Lynn Forbes and husband Jim of Ortonville; son, Jeffrey John Schultz and wife Heather of Grand Blanc; grandchildren, Nicholas Matthew Forbes, Jennifer Lauren Forbes, and Hayden Theodore John Schultz; brother George Schultz.
