Raymond Junior PIERSON

PIERSON Jr., Raymond , age 85, of Burton, passed away Sunday, July 10, 2011 at home. Funeral Services will be 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 13, 2011 at Sharp Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Rd., Grand Blanc Twp. Interment in Flint Memorial Park Cemetery, Mt. Morris. Visitation will be Tuesday 2:00- 8:00 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Contributions may be made to the Alzheimer Association. Raymond was born August 13, 1925 in Kent County, Michigan the son of the late Raymond and Doris (Snyder) Pierson. He married June R. Smith in Flint and she preceded him in death. Raymond was a Veteran of the U.S. Navy serving on the U.S.S. Mississippi Destroyer, in the Pacific, during WWII. He was employed by Mechanics Laundry until retiring after 28 a years of service. Raymond loved fishing, hunting, and working in his garden. He is survived by 3 sons, David Pierson (Marion)of Flushing, Robin Pierson (Debbie) of Burton, Jeff Pierson (Kimberly) of Flint; daughter, Tina Owens (Charlie) of Arkansas; sister, Winifred Buskard; 6 grandchildren, Robin Jr., Holly, Jeffrey Jr., Tony, Justin, April; 4 great-grandchildren, many nieces nephews and extended family and friends.
