On April 18th 2020, Raymond Hurles of Swartz Creek, beloved father, grandfather and great-grandfather, passed peacefully in his sleep aged 86. He was born April 24th 1933 in Detroit and lived in the Flint area for the majority of his life, briefly settling in Seattle, WA. Preceded in death by his beloved parents, William (Bill) and Mabel (Heinitz) Hurles, his brother Bill Hurles, wife Marylee, and daughter Susan. Raymond has two siblings Sheirel Hurles and Janice Dew, who reside in Frankenmuth, MI. He leaves his son, Danny Hurles of Alamogordo, New Mexico and daughter, Lisa Hurles-Lambert of Swartz Creek, and partner Joan Endres of DeQuoin, Ill.. There also was a special place in his heart for his grandchildren, Sara Boardman (and Richard) Southampton, U.K., Luke Lambert of Swartz Creek, Michael Smith of Chicago, Ill., Shawna Bennett (and Joe) of Rockford, and Raymond Hurles of Ann Arbor. Rev. Steven Maas will be officiating a private service and burial will take place at Evergreen Cemetery. Tributes may be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com.
