Eves, Raymond Floyd - went to be with the Lord May 10, 2022 at the age of 85. Funeral services will be held 1:00 PM Tuesday, May 17, 2022 at Sharp Funeral Homes, 6063 Fenton Road, Grand Blanc (The funeral service will be available via livestream at Ray's page at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com). Interment in Sunset Hills Cemetery, Flint. Visitation will be held 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm Monday, May 16; and 12-1 PM Tuesday, May 17 at the funeral home. Ray was born August 14, 1936 in Cape Girardeau, Missouri, the son of Elvis and Sarah Lucille (Crump) Eves. He married the love of his life Javada (Reed) Eves on January 20, 1957. Together they shared 58 years of marriage. They built their family based on hard work, love and faith. Ray has always been a hard worker and instilled this in his children and grandchildren. He worked at General Motors Flint Metal Fab for 32 1/2 years. After retiring, he spent his time writing poetry, tinkering with electronics, visiting nursing homes, and sharing his love of music, poetry and God with others. And we all know about the many clocks he collected. He loved his family with all his heart, but above all, he loved God. He was the loving father of Karen (CJ) Boggs, Ray (Teresa) Eves, and Joanna (Todd) Jackson; treasured brother of Pat (Steve) Harovitz and Elvis (Verlie Kay) Eves; cherished grandfather of Hailey (Tim) Walsh, Brandon Inman, Kaelyn, Christine and Christopher Eves and Keana Jackson; great grandfather of Allonnah and Ariellah Tallman, Nadiyah Walsh, Ashleigh and Zach Walsh, Pypir Lixie; great-great-grandfather of Madilynn and William.
