Raymond Evans Jr.

Evans Jr. Raymond Howard - Age 74, of Burton, died September 12, 2019. Services will be held 11AM Monday, September 16 at Riverdale Baptist Church 5151 Calkins Rd. Flint. Committal services will be held 2PM Thursday, September 19 at Great Lakes National Cemetery 4200 N. Belford Rd. Holly. Those desiring may make contributions to Humane Society of Genesee County. Raymond was born December 25, 1944 in Staten Island, NY, the son of Raymond Howard and Jean Patricia (Cassidy) Evans. He spent one year studying at Michigan State University, then three years serving in the United States Army. After his service in the Army Raymond continued his education graduating from the University of Michigan while working full time for General Motors. He retired from General Motors with 39 years of service. Raymond enjoyed fishing. He volunteered for the Flint City Ministry. Raymond is survived by his children, Melissa Jeanne Evans Belcher of Longwood, FL, William Patrick (Tracy) Evans of Flushing, Michael Kenneth (Valerie) Evans of Charlotte, NC; 10 grandchildren; siblings, Richard, Joyce, Cathy, Sheila, Paul, Jo, and Pat; many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Nancy and John. The family wishes to thank Debra Stevens and family for their loving and gracious care.
