Raymond Cook

COOK, Raymond Lee- Age 89, of Flint Township, died October 30, 2016. Funeral services will be held 12 PM Saturday November 5 at Sharp Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Rd., Flint. Visitation will take place 10 AM until the time of service at the funeral home. Raymond was born May 30, 1927 in Montrose, the son of George and Lula (Bowden) Cook. He married Alice L. Cathey in Flint on May 28, 1949. He served his country in the U.S. Army. Raymond worked for McDonald Dairy as a mechanic and was employed at Miller Road Dairy. He was a member of the Flint Baptist Temple. Raymond loved to bowl and was a member of the Flint Bowling Association. He never had an enemy and was known as a jokester. He very much loved his grandchildren. He is survived by his children, Ray (Nancy) Cook, Robin (Gene) Tufford, Charles Cook, and Thomas Cook; thirteen grandchildren; twenty three great-grandchildren. Raymond was preceded in death by his wife, Alice; daughter, Kathy Nichols; great grandchildren, Jason Cook and Savannah Tufford.
