BROOKS, Raymond, age 82 of Linden, passed away Friday, June 27, 2008 at Genesys Health Park. Funeral Services will be 1PM Monday, June 30, 2008 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Rd., Fenton. Pastor James Mascow officiating. Interment in Roseland Park Cemetery, Royal Oak. Visitation will be 3-8PM Sunday and 9AM Monday until time of service at the funeral home. Contributions may be made to the family. Raymond was born in Detroit, the son of Frank and Victoria (Hartz) Brooks. He married Beverly Bowyer on August 17, 1946 in Detroit. Raymond attended Detroit Bible Institute and had been employed as a pipefitter until retirement. He was an avid reader and writer, who enjoyed the study of military topics. Surviving are his wife of 61 years, Beverly; 4 children, Rev. Ron Brooks (Susan) of Las Vegas, Nevada, Ralph Brooks (Judy) of Garden City, Carol Pawlak (Brent) of Linden, Douglas Brooks (Johnnie) of San Mateo, California; 9 grandchildren and 1 great-grandson.
