Raymond Atkins

ATKINS, Raymond Glen -- Age 73, of Flint, died May 23, 2015, after a lengthy illness. He wished to be cremated without services. A gathering with family and friends to celebrate his life will follow at a later date. Raymond was born to Melvin and Arlene Atkins in Davison Mich, on Oct 15, 1941. He married his loving wife Shirley, on Feb 10, 1984. He worked as a roofer since age 18 until his retirement in 1998. He loved woodworking, crossword puzzles, reading, computers and socializing. He leaves behind with love his children, Alan (Amanda) Atkins, Lisa (Jim) Ritter, Lori Ferreira, Lynn (Brian) Picard. Step-children, Teri (Jim) Koon, Ronald (Sylvia) Odom, and Donald (Jacque) Odom. He was blessed with 26 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, and 3 great-great grandchildren. He also leaves behind brothers and sisters, Eugene (Trina) Atkins, Kay Hodges, Anna (Sid) Rodgers, and Janice Chandler. Many nieces, nephews, and friends. Preceded in death by father Melvin, mother Arlene and Sister Betty.
