MYERS, Randall E. "Randy" - Age 43, of Oxnard, CA formerly of Fenton, died Monday, May 10, 2010 in California. Services will be held 11:00 AM Monday, June 14, 2010 at Fenton United Methodist Church, 119 S. Leroy St, Fenton, with Rev. Harry Cole officiating. The family will receive friends 2-5 PM Sunday at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Rd., Fenton. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Christian and Adrianna Scholarship Fund. Randy was born April 24, 1967 in Flint, the son of Bill and Karen Myers. He was a 1986 graduate of Linden High School. He was a member of Fenton United Methodist Church, Boy Scout Troop 212, where he achieved the rank of Eagle Scout. He retired from the U.S. Navy on December 31, 2009. He served for 22 years Seebee's Construction Battalion, where he made the rank of Chief. He specialized in Safety, Hazardous Material and Advanced Building where he designed and built an office in West Virginia for the US Navy. During his time of service he was awarded many medals, badges, citations and ribbons. He also served one tour of duty in Iraq. Surviving are: children, Christian, Adrianna, Juan and Julio of Camarillo, CA; parents, Bill and Karen Myers of Fenton; grandparents, Dorotha Myers of Mesa, AZ; brothers, Mike Myers of Fenton, Tim (Heather) Myers of Clio; sister-in-law, Linda Myers of Linden; nieces and nephew, Natasha, Ryan and Myckayla of Clio; aunt, Sharon (Collier) Mead Cole of Middletown, MD; uncle, Jerry (Juanita) Myers of Tempe, AZ; several cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Richard Myers, Gordon and Charlene Mead. Online tributes may be posted at the obituaries page of www.sharpfuneralhomes.com.
