SCHELL, Ralph W. "Bill" - Age 88, of Flint Township, died Sunday, December 18, 2011. Funeral services will be held 11 AM Thursday, December 22 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek. Interment in Sunset Hills Cemetery, Flint. Visitation will be held 4-8 PM Wednesday. Bill was born January 30, 1923 in Flint, the son of Ralph E. and Olivia Clara (Kelly) Schell. He married Mary Bradley in Kewanna, IN on April 15, 1950. He was a member of St. John Vianney Catholic Church and a long time member of St. Lukes Catholic Church. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army Air Force serving in WWII. Bill retired from Buick plant 36 in 1982. Surviving are: wife, Mary; 2 children, Valerie (Roger) Kohn of Houghton Lake, Michael E. Schell (Cathy Rogers) of Burton; 5 grandchildren, Jared (Rebecca) Kohn, Justin (Bethany) Kohn, Sarah (Matt) Just, Katelyn (Josh) Piper, Rebecca Schell; 6 great grandchildren, Aaron and Nicholas Ritchie, Jenevieve and Madison Schell, Henry and Miles Kohn; brother, Alfred Wayne (Genevieve) Schell of Convoy, OH; niece, Kathy (Steve) Gamble; nephew, Kevin Schell; special friends, Deborah and Alex Borowiak, Vickie and Larry Baldwin, Roger Wilson; special German granddaughters, Kerstin Grimm and Paloma Junghans.
