RHEINGANS, Ralph W., Sr. - Age 90, of Fenton, died Saturday, March 26, 2005 at Genesys Hospice Care Center in Goodrich. Funeral services will be held 2 PM Tuesday, March 29, 2005 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Rd with Rev. Carrie Smith-Coons officiating. Visitation will be from 2-4 & 6-9 PM Monday at the funeral home. A Masonic Memorial Service will be held 7 PM Monday evening under the auspices of Fenton Lodge #109 F&AM. In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make memorial contributions to the First Presbyterian Church of Fenton. Mr. Rheingans was born January 14, 1915 in Elkton, MI, the son of Rev. John H and Martha (Andrews) Rheingans. He married Cleo M. Jacobs on July 10, 1937 and she preceded him in death on December 3, 1981. Ralph was a graduate of GMI in Industrial Electrical Engineering, a Dale Carnegie graduate and an International Correspondence School graduate in Diesel Engine Maintenance. He was also a licensed electrician. Ralph served many years with the Boy Scouts and was the National Jamboree Scout Master in 1953. Mr. Rheingans was a Supervisor with Buick Motor Division for 40 years retiring in 1973. He lived in Ellenton, FL during the winter months and had a summer home in Fenton. Ralph was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Fenton, a life member of Fenton Lodge #109 F&AM and the Eastern Star # 248. Surviving are: four children, Ralph W. Rheingans. Jr and wife, Janet of Lennon, Carol J. Couture of Grand Blanc, Charles A. Rheingans of Linden, Walter D. Rheingans and wife, Sherrie of CA; 15 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Clare Jacobs; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by: wives, Cleo, Dorothea, and Virginia; daughter, Mary Estes; son, Robert Rheingans; granddaughter, Jennifer R. Couture.
