Ralph Mcwhirter

McWhirter, Ralph A. - Age 84, of Sand Point, passed away August 2, 2022. Ralph was born March 10, 1938 in Flint, the son of John and Harriet (Hart) McWhirter. He was a graduate of Flint Technical High School and graduate of Flint Junior College. Ralph retired from General Motors after 32 years of working in engine design. His passion was genealogy; with interests in boating, wood working, and automobiles. A celebration of life will be held at a future date. He is survived by his wife, Judy; two sons, Douglas E. McWhirter and Dennis D. (Paula) McWhirter; grandchildren Adrian A. McWhirter, Brian L. (Kristen) McWhirter, Kevin J. McWhirter, and Kyle D. McWhirter; sister, Jean Kent. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Joyce Sowa. The family asks in lieu of sending flowers or memorials to please consider a gift to the American Cancer Society or the Cleveland Clinic.
