MARKLE, Ralph Edison  Age 89, of Grand Blanc, formerly of Swartz Creek, died Tuesday, September 20, 2005 at Alterra  Winwood. A memorial service will be held 7 PM Friday, September 23, 2005 at Sharp Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Rd., Flint (just South of Hill Rd.). The family will receive friends from 5 PM until the time of service on Friday. Those desiring may make memorial contributions to the American Cancer Society, the Flint Pipe Organ Club, or the Old Car Club. Mr. Markle was born April 9, 1916 in Bad Axe, MI the son of Asa and Carrie (Falhay) Markle. Mr. Markle was a graduate of Flint Central High School. He married Rose Marie Deitering on March 15, 1958 in Flint. Mr. Markle retired from General Motors Service Parts Operations on March 1, 1974 after 34 years of service. He was a former member of the Oak Park Methodist Church and General Motors Mens Choir. He was a member of the Flint Pipe Organ Club, The Old Car Club, and the Model Railroad Club and was a volunteer at Crossroads Village. Mr. Markle enjoyed his family, traveling, music, old cars meets and had a passion for trains. Surviving are: wife, Rose Marie Markle; two children, Suzanne R. McDonald of Fenton, J. Dallas Peel and wife, Jane of Rankin; six grandchildren, Ron Peel and wife, Penny, Mike Peel and wife, Becky, Tamara and husband, David Collins, Kurt Peel and wife, Nicole, Charles McDonald, Debra and husband, Brian Chase; 14 great-grandchildren; sister, Gernith Schnettler of Owosso; several nieces and nephews.
