Ralph Eugene Margetson III

MARGETSON, Ralph Eugene III  Age 12, of Swartz Creek, died Friday, December 31, 2004 at Hurley Medical Center due to injuries from a skiing accident. Funeral mass will be celebrated 1 PM Wednesday, January 5, 2005 at St. Robert Catholic Church, 310 N. Cherry St., Flushing with Fr. Roy Horning celebrant. Interment will be held at Crestwood Memorial Cemetery, Grand Blanc. Visitation will be from 5-9 PM Monday and 2-4 and 6-9 PM Tuesday at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek where a vigil service will be held at 8 PM Tuesday evening. Those desiring may make memorial contributions to the Ralph Eugene Margetson III Memorial Fund. Ralph was born December 7, 1992 in Flint, the son of Ralph E. and Barbara (Guffey) Margetson II. He attended Swartz Creek Middle School where he was in the 6th grade. Ralph was active in all sports; his favorites were basketball and football. He was active in the Chess Club and was a member of the Middle School Band. Ralph enjoyed camping, fishing, playing video games and riding roller coasters at Cedar Point. He was a good natured kid and had lots of friends. Surviving are: parents, Ralph E. and Barbara Margetson; sister, Sarah Jean; brother, Michael David; grandmother, Coleen Margetson; grandmother, Emma Jean Guffey; grandfather, George Guffey; aunt, Donna Straight; special aunt, Brenda Walter; uncle, Darryl Walter and wife, Cheryl; uncle, George Guffey and wife, Katherine; two great-grandmothers, Cruz Guzman and Reba Jeffrys; several cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by: aunt, Coleen Walter; grandfather, Ralph E. Margetson I; great-grandparents, Clarence and Wealthy Gilbert; two great-grandfathers, Jose Guzman and George Guffey.
