Ralph Earl KETCHMARK

KETCHMARK, Ralph Earl "Lefty" - Age 93, of Grand Blanc, formerly of Swartz Creek, died Tuesday, September 29, 2009. Funeral Mass will be celebrated 9:30 AM Saturday, October 3 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 600 N. Adelaide St, Fenton. Fr. David Harvey celebrant. Burial immediately following at Crestwood Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be held at Sharp Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Road, Flint, 5-9 PM Thursday, 1-4 and 6-9 PM Friday with a vigil service at 7 PM Friday evening; and at church 9:00 AM until time of Mass Saturday. Those desiring may make contributions to the American Diabetes Association. Mr. Ketchmark was born in Gladstone, MI, on March 20, 1916. He married Ella Smith October 16, 1937 in Auburn, IN. He was employed by Chevrolet Manufacturing as a skilled tradesman for 46 years. He was an original sitdowner and a member of UAW 659 since 1937. Mr. Ketchmark was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving in WWII. He was a resident of Swartz Creek and a member of St. Mary Queen of Angels Catholic Church for 40 years. He was a former winter resident of Auburndale, FL, for 20 years, returning to Michigan fulltime in 2008. Surviving are: wife Ella of Grand Blanc; son, Gerald and wife Marie of Grayling; daughter-in-law Denise of Swartz Creek; son Phillip of Swartz Creek; daughter Shari and husband Tom Sinclair of Burton, son Dale of Flint; son Dennis and wife Gina of Flint; son Ted of Chapel Hill, TN; grandchildren, Debi, Lynn, Duane, Denise, Wendy, Tony, Tina, Patty, Bridget, Steve, Tim, Crystal, Chris, Tiffany, Laura, Mike, Cassandra, and Brent; great-grandchildren, Kaitlynne, Mitchell, Rakia, Damion, David, Courtenay, Terrance, Nicholas, Eddie, Ella, Aliyah, Kyla, Kalyn, Chase, and Layten. He was preceded in death by his parents; Peter and Aurelia Ketchmark; sister Theresa; daughter Mary (1964), son Gary (2002); and granddaughter Stephanie Sinclair (1993).
