Ralph Dean Boyer passed away May 6, 2022 at Briarwood in Flint, Michigan. Funeral services will not be available, cremation has already taken place. Born June 18, 1958, in Flint, Michigan, was the son of Ralph Austin Boyer and Sophie (Hale) Boyer who preceded him in death. The was the youngest of three, he is survived by both sisters; Marilyn Sue Heck
and Carolyn McNally as well as by his daughters Jamie, Cindy, Emily, Morgan, Charlotte, and his sons James and Johno, in addition to a plethora of grandchildren. Ralph, who preferred to go by Dean, proudly served in the U. S. Army as a Military Police officer with General Discharge under Honorable Conditions. After the military, his love of automobiles led him to a
long career as an automotive mechanic. Dean spent much of his free time tinkering with cars and the occasional motorcycle, sometimes to the dismay of the vehicle being tinkered with. His later years were spent with his beloved cat Gambit and enjoyed having visitors to his humble home in Lennon, Michigan, up to his admittance to Briarwood due to advanced illness. Gambit currently resides with his daughter Morgan and has adjusted well to his new home. Dean cared for his children in his own way, and though absent to some, still loved them all dearly.
He was as eccentric as he was friendly and leaves us with fond memories of times at the lake, fishing, and evenings with interesting, if not slightly exaggerated, stories around a fire. He will be missed by many, and may he rest in everlasting peace and finally breathing easy in the great hereafter.
