DART, Ralph Edward - Age 77, of Swartz Creek, died Tuesday, March 1, 2022. Funeral Service will be held 11:00 AM Friday, March 4, 2022 at St. Mary Queen of Angels Catholic Church, Swartz Creek. Deacon Rod Amon officiating. Burial in New Calvary Catholic Church, Flint. Visitation will be held at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek Thursday from 4-8 PM and at church Friday from 10:00 AM until the time of the service. Those desiring may make contributions to the Swartz Creek Food Pantry.
Ralph was born August 4, 1944 on the family farm in Swartz Creek, the son of George Edward and Orilla Sarah (Muchler) Dart. He attended Swartz Creek Schools. He married Pamela Ann Haggadone June 11,1983 at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Burton. He had resided in Swartz Creek his entire life. Ralph retired in 2006 from GM Chevrolet V8 Engine Plant after 38 years of service; he was also a farmer. He was a volunteer fireman for the Gaines Township Fire Department. He attended St. Mary Queen of Angels Catholic Church.
Surviving are: his wife of 38 years, Pamela; daughter, Megan (Corey) Walker of Grand Blanc; son, William Dart of Swartz Creek; grandson, Logan Walker; siblings, Harold (Wanda) Dart of Swartz Creek, Gladys (Jerry) Merkle of Colon, Russell (Carole) Dart of Pennsylvania, and Kenny (Norajane) Dart of Swartz Creek; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Shirley Dart, Dorothy Wolfe, Robert Dart, Donald Dart, Betty Johnson, Joanne Wakeman, and Duane Dart. Online tributes may be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com.
