Ralph Boyer

BOYER, Ralph Austin - Age 87, lifelong resident of Flint, died Thursday May 7, 2015. A memorial service will be held 11AM, Saturday, May 16, 2015 at Emanuel Lutheran Church, 6380 Beecher Road, Flint. Pastor Steve Lockman officiating. Those desiring may make contributions to the Emanuel Lutheran Church. Arrangements under the direction of Sharp Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Road, Flint. Ralph was born in Flint, Michigan, the son of the late Glen H. and Elizabeth (Klier) Boyer. He married Sophia Etta Hale in Flint on November 10, 1946. Mr. Boyer enjoyed growing roses, fishing and loved being outdoors. He worked for G.M. Plant 10 for 20 years and owned and operated American Heritage service station in Davison, Michigan. Surviving are: wife, Sophia Etta Boyer of Flint; children, Carolyn M. (Gary) McNally of Swartz Creek, Marilyn S. (Dennis) Hect of Clio, Ralph "Dean" Boyer of Lennon; 15 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren; brother, Keith H. Boyer of Kalamazoo; sister in law, Doris Boyer of NJ; many nieces and nephews. He was also preceded in death by his brothers, Glen H. Boyer and Kenneth C. Boyer.
