HAYEK, Qusta A. Â Age 66, of Flushing, died Monday, August 4, 2003 at his residence. Funeral services will be held 11 AM Thursday, August 7, 2003 at St. George Orthodox Church, 5191 Lennon Rd., Flint with Fr. Joseph Abud and Fr. Abraham Kasis officiating. Entombment will be held at New Calvary Catholic Cemetery, Flint. Visitation will be from 2-4 and 6-9 PM Tuesday and Wednesday at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek. A Trisagion Service will be held 7 PM Wednesday at the funeral home. Visitation will also be held from 10 AM until the time of service at the church. Those desiring may make memorial contributions may be made to St. George Orthodox Church. Mr. Hayek was born June 24, 1937 in Beit Sahour, Palestine, the son of Attallah and Dahabia (Isaac) Hayek. He married Zahra David on September 27, 1959 in Beit Sahour, Palestine. Mr. Hayek was a salesman and businessman in Palestine and the U.S. for many years. He was a member of St. George Orthodox Church. Mr. Hayek was well known for his sense of humor and enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He will be greatly missed by: wife, Zahra; six children, Naela and husband, Nadim Rabaa of Australia, Jackleen and husband, Tom David of Flushing, Walid Hayek and wife, Amal of Flushing, Mirvat and husband, Awni Attrash of Flint, Dr. Hanida Hayek of Palestine, Wael Hayek and wife, Kholoud of Flushing; 17 grandchildren; two brothers; several nieces and nephews.
