Priscilla Stokoe

Priscilla Ruth "Patt" Stokoe, 92, of Mio passed away on June 2, 2015. She was born November 18, 1922 in East Grand Rapids, the only child of Paul S. and Ruth E. (Mauk) Denison. As a young adult, she moved to Oscoda where she met and married Harry A. Sheffer November 16, 1947. In the 1950s, the family moved to Mio. She loved dining out, reading, traveling and meeting new people. Her wonderful sense of humor brought joy to everyone in her family and her community. She will be remembered most for the unconditional love and support she had for her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Patt was preceded in death by her husband Harry Sheffer, and second husband Ralph Stokoe. She is survived by her three sons and their wives, David S. (Vicky) of Gaines, Michigan; Thomas P. (Rosemary) and John F. (Liz) Sheffer of Mio, Michigan, five grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren. A memorial service is being planned for a later date.
