Phyllis Veselenak

Veselenak, Phyllis - Passed away Saturday, April 9th in Grand Blanc, MI. A private service will be held at a later date. Services provided by Sharp Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Road, Grand Blanc. Phyllis was born in Flint, MI, on July 12, 1934, the daughter of the late Victor and Sarah Nearing. She graduated from All Saints High School in 1952. She married Stephen Veselenak on June 5, 1954 and they spent 65 wonderful years together until his death in 2020. They moved to Abbey Park in 2019 where she made many friends including her dear friend Gordon Bland. Phyllis was a most beloved mother and grandmother. Among her many interests she loved baking, golfing and playing games, especially with her two grandsons. She kept mini pie tins in the kitchen for them and taught them to swing a golf club. She had a larger than life personality and family first values that were treasured by all that knew her. Phyllis is survived by her daughter, Linda (Bob) Bowers; grandchildren, Brett (Rebecca) Bowers and Josh (Caitlin) Bowers, two great-grandchildren, Emmett and Zephaniah Bowers.
