Phyllis Simpson

SIMPSON, Phyllis Marie - Age 86, of Burton, passed away peacefully the early morning of October 23, 2020 at the Pines of Goodrich. Funeral Services will be held 12:00 Noon, Tuesday, October 27, at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek. Pastor Bob Nolan officiating. Visitation will be held 4:00 - 8:00 PM Monday, and 11:00 AM until the time of services Tuesday. Burial will be in Great Lakes National Cemetery.

Phyllis was born March 23, 1934 in Flint, the daughter of John and Susie (Schiebel) Scramlin. She married Richard Simpson on October 23, 1954, and he preceded her death on October 17, 2020. Phyllis was a long time active member of Fenton Road Baptist Church and most recently, New Road Baptist Church. She is survived by her daughters, Wendy (Mike) Adams of Lake Havasu City, AZ, and Teri (Phil) Long of Swartz Creek, MI; granddaughters, Sheri Brennan, Allison (Mike) Walgren of AZ, Jamie (TJ) Rhynard of Midland, MI; 11 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Jack Scramlin, Kenneth Scramlin, and Gordan Scramlin; sister, Dolores Summers; and granddaughter, Nicole Adams.
