Phyllis M. HINTON

HINTON, Phyllis, of Flint, died Thursday, March 31, 2011, at McLaren Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, April 7, 2011 at Sharp Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Rd., Grand Blanc Twp. Goodman Cox officiating. Interment at Flint Memorial Park. Visitation will be 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.Wednesday at the funeral home. Those desiring may make contributions to Genesee County Humane Society. Phyllis was born March 13, 1930 in Peoria, Oklahoma the daughter of the late Brooks Archabald and Jessie Ethel (Wiles) Richardson. She married William Hinton on September 10, 1949 in Flint and he preceded her in death on June 17, 1998. Phyllis was employed by Hamady Bros. as a cashier for over 40 years. She enjoyed gardening, reading and crocheting, but most of all she cherished spending time with family and her cats. Surviving are, daughter, Rebecca and husband James Schultz of Flushing; granddaughter, Sarah of Los Angeles; brother, Franklin Richardson of Burton; 2 sisters Mary Linda Grossklaus of Grand Blanc, Grace Ann Gatzemeyer of Burton; and several nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by her sister-in-law Pat Richardson in 1998.
