WALCH, Philip Dale - Age 91, of Swartz Creek, passed away July 18, 2021. Private funeral services will be held with burial in Great Lakes National Cemetery. Public visitation will be held from 2-4 PM Wednesday, July 21, 2021 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek. A public memorial service will also be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make contributions to Michigan Lutheran Seminary in Saginaw, ALS of Michigan or Flint YMCA. Philip was born March 28, 1930 in Flint, the son of Philip Daniel and Bess (Malco) Walch. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and a graduate of Ferris State University. Mr. Walch was a retired Pharmacist. He was a member of the Flint Tennis Club, Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Flushing and served as the Chairman of the local M.S. Board. He is survived by his wife, Gisela; children, David (Lorri) Walch, Ann (Alexander) Chan, Susan (Robert) Strehlow and John Walch; step-daughters, Heidi (Rob) Fletcher and Erika (Wayne) Mohney; grandchildren, Emilee, Kathryn, Alison, Amy, Alexandra, Michael, Peter, Camdyn and Trenton; great-granddaughter, Quincey; He was preceded in death by his parents; first wife, Jean Walch; grandchildren, Mackenzie and Spencer; brother, Donald.
