Philip Frederick

FREDERICK, Philip Lawrence - Age 75, of Linden, died Monday, September 23, 2019.  Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11:00 AM Friday, September 27, 2019 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, Fenton.  Fr. Ryan Riley celebrant.  Visitation will be held at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Road, Fenton Thursday from 4-8 PM where a rosary will be prayed at 7 PM and at church Friday from 10 AM until the time of the Mass.  Those desiring may make contributions to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

Philip was born September  29, 1943 in Detroit, the son of Leo and Mary (O'Rourke) Frederick.  He was a graduate of Redford Union High School. He married Caroline Ann Wellman November 13, 1976 in Plymouth.  He resided in Linden since 1991 coming from Plymouth.  Philip owned and operated Tuffy Auto Service Center in Howell.  He was a member of the Plymouth-Ann Arbor Elks Lodge #325.  He was an avid golfer.

Surviving are: his wife, Caroline; children, Paul (Anli) Frederick of Northville, Curtis Frederick of Linden, and Janeane Frederick of Linden; grandchildren, Tim Frederick and Jennifer Frederick both of  Northville, and Nikki (Shane) Cowan and Jesse Pestka both of Linden; brother, Thomas (Gerry) Frederick of Fenton; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Barbara Kopmeyer and Helen Sturgeon.   Tributes may be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com.
