BUCHANAN, Philip Tod - Age 51, of Flint, died Wednesday, April 11, 2007 at his residence. Funeral services will be held 11 AM Monday, April 16, 2007 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek with Chaplain Goodman Cox officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Hills Cemetery. Visitation will be held 5-9 PM Saturday and 2-9 PM Sunday at the funeral home. Philip was born February 4, 1956 in Flint the son of Jeter and Norma (Mallard) Buchanan and had lived most of his life in Swartz Creek. He retired from General Motors Chevrolet V-8. Philip loved his daughters very much and always wanted the best for them. He was so proud of them and never missed a chance to brag and show pictures. Philip was a kind and good man, always trying to be the best person he could be. He also had a great sense of humor, it was hard to be in a room with him and not laugh. He was an avid hunter who enjoyed the woods and being outdoors. Surviving are 2 daughters, Nicole and Jennifer, both of Swartz Creek, and their mother, Debora Buchanan of Swartz Creek; 2 sisters, Virginia and husband Stephen Bean of Flint Twp., Janice Hill-Wardwell of Swartz Creek; many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews and many friends.
