Peter Jay Stoyanoff

Peter Jay Stoyanoff, age 83 of Lexington, MI., passed away on Sunday January 21, 2024. Peter was born November 16, 1940 in Detroit, the son of Constantine and Marie (Karsisiotis) Stoyanoff. He was the beloved husband of the late Judith (Berry) and loving father of Jennifer (Michael-deceased) Nannetti, Peter (Laura), and Jill (Patrick) Dolan.  He was preceded in death by his sister Diana and the late William (St. Clair) and survived by his brother Nicky (Patricia). After graduating from Cooley High School in 1959, he married the love of his life Judy and went to work at the Cadillac Motor Car plant while attending GMI.  Peter began working for Rockwell International while obtaining his MBA from MSU.  In 1980 he began working for Trailer Train (TTX) in Chicago and proudly served as the President of the national Railroad Suppliers Association prior to his retirement. Over the course of their 62-year marriage, Pete and Judy saw the birth of 6 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.  Peter had a true love of music dating back to high school where he joined the esteemed Cooley High School choir.  Spending time with him would frequently include listening to a very eclectic variety of music. Our Father instilled the ethics of hard work, acceptance, kindness and most importantly, family, in all of us.  Dad, you will be truly missed, but know that you will forever be a part of our hearts and souls. A service will be held at Sharp Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Rd., Grand Blanc, MI 48507 at 12pm Thursday January 25th.  Family and friends will be gathering from 5-8pm on Wednesday, January 24th and Thursday at 11am prior to the service.  If so inclined, donations can be made to The Medical Team Hospice of Genesee county.
