SCHOENHERR, Peter Dennis "Denny" - age 75, of Flushing, died Wednesday, May 28, 2014 at his residence. Funeral mass will be celebrated 11 AM Saturday, May 31, 2014 at St. John Vianney Catholic Church, 2415 Bagley St., Flint with Fr. Thomas Firestone celebrant. Interment will be held 10:30 AM Tuesday, June 3, 2013 at Great Lakes National Cemetery. Visitation will be held 3-8 PM Friday at Sharp Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Rd., Flint where a scripture service will be held at 7 PM. Visitation will also be held 10 AM until time of mass Saturday at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Autism Speaks (www.autismspeaks.org). Peter was born December 19, 1938 in Centerline, MI, the son of Edward A. and Irene Ann (Grobbel) Schoenherr. He was a graduate of DeLaSalle Collegiate High School and earned a Bachelor of Arts from University of Detroit. Peter served as an Officer in the U. S. Navy from 1961-1971. He married Natalie A. Curley on August 26, 1961 and she preceded him in death on October 23, 2010. He then married Patricia (Lybarger) Noyle on November 3, 2012. Mr. Schoenherr retired from Delphi and worked at a nursery and tutored at the New Life Center after retirement. Surviving are: wife, Patricia; four children, Lorinda (Troy) Robert of FL, Christopher (Michelle) Schoenherr of NY, Maureen (Pat) Simen of OH, Kevin Schoenherr of Flint; two grandsons, Benjamin Simen and Brent Robert; two step-sons, David (Daphana) Wardrop of CA, Michael (Amy) Wardrop of GA; four step-grandchildren; sister, Patricia Vanderbrook of Rochester; brother, Roger (Patricia) Schoenherr of Cadillac. He was preceded in death by his parents; first wife, Natalie;daughter- in-law Alison Schoenherr; seven brothers, James, Norman, William, Thomas, Richard, John and Robert; sister, Miriam Wilson.
