Peter Hempton

HEMPTON, Peter Dwight - Age 77 of Burton died Sunday, July 20, 2014 at Genesys Health Park. Funeral services will be held 1PM Friday, July 25, 2014 at World Outreach Center, 2275 N. Irish Rd., Davison, 48423, with Pastor Jerry Pruett officiating. Visitation will be held from 2-8 PM on Thursday, at Sharp Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Rd., Flint. Visitation will also be Friday from 11AM until time of service at World Outreach Center. Those desiring may make contributions to World Outreach Center. Peter was born March 29, 1937 in Flint, the son of John and Donna (Roberts) Hempton. He was a life long resident of the Flint area and worked at Willowbrook Nursing Home. Mr. Hempton was very active in his church, World Outreach Center, and was loved dearly by his church family. He enjoyed walking, helping his Landlady and close friend with her Pomeranians, and assisting with her gardening. Pete was a loving brother and dear friend to all. Mr. Hempton is survived by: five siblings, Donna Koualchik, Christina Chase, John Hempton, Sharon Baldwin and James Hempton; as well as several nieces and nephews. Pete was preceded in death by his parents; 3 sisters, Shirley Fusero, Mary Boone and Lois Nolff; and brother, Philip Hempton.
