GLYNN Peter Joseph -- Age 74, of Swartz Creek passed away November 29, 2019. Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11AM Wednesday December 4 at St. Mary Queen of Angels Catholic Church, 4413 Morrish Road, Swartz Creek. Father Louis Ekka Celebrant. Entombment with Military Honors, in New Calvary Catholic Cemetery, Flint. The family will receive visitors 1-3PM and 5-8PM Tuesday at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road Swartz Creek, where a memorial service and a rosary will be prayed at 7 PM under the auspices of Third Degree Knights of Columbus Council #6694 and the Fourth Degree Assembly. Visitation will also be held 10AM Wednesday until time of Mass at the church. In lieu of flowers those desiring may make contributions to the Old News Boys in Pete's Memory or Swartz Creek Food Bank. Peter was born in Flint on September 28, 1945, the son of the late Hugh and Mary (Kenney) Glynn. He was a graduate of St Michael's High School - Flint Class of 1963, and a graduate of Flint Junior College. He proudly served his country as a Staff SGT. In the U.S. Air Force where he served from 1966-1969. Serving in Vietnam (1968-1969). Peter married Carol "Susie" Milliman on April 6, 1968 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Flint, MI.He retired from GM Flint Assembly as a Supv. of Acctg. on March 1, 2002 after more than 37 years of service. In 2004 Pete was employed at Diplomat Pharmacy as a accountant until 2011. Pete was a Eucharistic Minister and served on the Parish Financial Council. He was an active member of St. Mary Catholic Church, VFW Post #3520, 3rd Degree knights of Columbus Council #6694 and 4th Degree Assembly #2211. State Director for Michigan Councils for several years. He loved playing golf, gardening, traveling and spending time with his family. Pete is survived by his wife, Carol, son, Christopher ( Tracey) and daughter, Jennifer Glynn, brothers, John (Juanita) Glynn, James (Donna) Glynn, William (Kathy) Glynn; sisters, Kathy (Patrick) Ross and Christine Flanagan; many nieces and nephews and dear friends.
