Peggy Sue Franklin

FRANKLIN, Peggy Sue, age 86 of Burton, passed away on September 29, 2024. A funeral will be held at 12:00 PM Wednesday, October 2, 2024 at the Sharp Funeral Home and Cremation Center (6063 Fenton Road, Grand Blanc, Michigan) with burial to follow at Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly, Michigan. Visitation will be from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM Tuesday at the funeral home and from 11:00 AM Wednesday until the time of service. Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Peggy to the Alzheimer's Association (www.alz.org).

Peggy was born on January 23, 1938 in Moro, Arkansas to the late Clarence Eugene and Annie Lorine (Burns) Boswell. She married Donald Jackson Franklin on July 27, 1963 in Toledo, Ohio and worked as a Welder at General Motors until her retirement in 1993. Peggy attended Cornerstone Baptist Church and former member of Flint Baptist Church. She was active with the Hurley Fitness Center, Flag City Cloggers, Burton Senior Dancers and the Swartz Creek Line Dancers.

She is survived by her children, W. Daniel (Shelley) Franklin of Andersonville, TN; Dawn Franklin of Royal Oak; Melinda (Keith) Stone of Grand Blanc; Brenda (Jon) Evans of Grand Blanc. Grandchildren, Amber (Carl Newman) Kish; Danielle Franklin; Adam Stone; Austin Stone; Shelby Evans. Great-grandchildren, Krew; Axel; Vivienne. Siblings, Emma Smith; Clarence Boswell; Kenneth (Betty) Boswell. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews. Peggy was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Donald; siblings, Christine Smith; Velma Horton; Shirley McCormick; Troy Boswell; Robert Boswell.
