Peggy Anne Crane, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, Sister, Aunt and friend, departed this world on September 20, 2023, at the age of 84. She was a remarkable woman who touched the lives of many with her warmth, kindness, and unwavering love. Born on July 27, 1939, Peggy was the daughter of Lynn and Shell Stockton and she grew up in Genesee County, MI with her Sisters, where she developed a deep appreciation for family, community, and the simple joys of life. She was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Thomas P. Crane. Peggy resided in Grand Blanc, where she dedicated her life to education, a calling that was close to her heart. She was an educator, reading specialist, curriculum coordinator and an author. She was a scholar herself, holding a Specialist degree in Education from the University of Michigan. Her passion for learning and teaching inspired countless students throughout her career. Peggy was a true warrior, facing health challenges for most of her adult life with remarkable strength and resilience. Despite these obstacles, she maintained a warm heart and a cheerful disposition that endeared her to everyone she met. Her infectious spirit brightened the darkest days and inspired those around her. Peggy had a profound love for children, and her nurturing spirit extended to her own daughters, Martha, Margaret, and Melinda, who meant the world to her. She cherished every moment spent with her grandchildren, Michael and Matthew, and the joy they brought her was immeasurable. Peggy was also blessed with three great-grandchildren, Alivia, Alex, and Alaira, who added even more happiness and light to her life. Beyond her work and family, Peggy found happiness in life's simple pleasures. She had a knack for baking delicious treats, and creating a home filled with love and laughter. Peggy's memory will forever live on in the hearts of her family and friends. She leaves behind a legacy of love, strength, and the importance of cherishing life's precious moments. Though she may no longer be with us in person, her spirit will forever shine brightly in our lives. A celebration of Peggy's life will be held at 11 AM Thursday, October 26, 2023 at Flint Golf Club, 3100 Lakewood Dr, Flint, MI 48507.
