CHRISTENSON, Pauline Marie -- Age 86, of Fenton, died December 6, 2011 at McLaren Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be 11 AM Friday, December 9 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Rd., Fenton, Pastor Michael Anderson officiating. Interment in Oakwood Cemetery, Fenton. Visitation will be 1-9 PM Thursday. Those desiring may make contributions to the Fenton Health Care Activity Fund or Linden Free Methodist Church Love Fund. Pauline was born June 11, 1925 in Reed City, MI, the daughter of Walter R. and Sophia M. (Koch) Whaling. She married Richard P. Christenson March 31, 1951 in Flint and he preceded her in death January 10, 2004. She had resided in Fenton since 1965 spending Winters in Bradenton, FL. She worked as a realtor for Realty World for 14 years. She was a member of the Fenton Church of Christ, Professional Business Womens Association of Fenton, and National Association of Realtors. She loved to golf. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Surviving are: three daughters Lisa Anne and husband Timothy Welker of Fenton, Dayna Marie and husband Wain Yeung of South Lyon, Lori Sue and husband Stephen Parker of Fenton, six grandchildren, Julie Welker, Karen and husband Douglas Self, Jeffrey Welker, Matthew Parker, Scott Parker, Sophie Yeung; great-grandson, Merrick Self; brother Walter Whaling of Reed City; several nieces and nephews; best friend and loving companion Donald Hodges and family.
