Paula Maria LONG

LONG, Paula Maria - Age 93, of Fenton, died Sunday, December 11, 2011 at Genesys Health Park. Graveside services will be held at a later date at Great Lakes National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make contributions to Whaley Children's Center, 1201 N. Grand Traverse Ave, Flint, MI 48503. Mrs. Long was born October 10, 1918 in Tacoma, WA, the daughter of Karl M. and Tyyne (Korpinen) Hilden. She married Dallas J. Long April 11, 1941 in San Francisco, CA and he preceded her in death June 9, 1987. She and her husband, Dallas owned and operated Shank Coupland Long Plumbing. Surviving are: 2 children, Thomas Long and fiancee Terry Munro of Fenton and Kristina and husband Orley Spees of Fenton; 5 grandchildren, Martin K. Spees of Indiana, Teena M. and husband Vincent Burchianti of Florida, Jason M. and wife Angi Spees of Linden, Jaime M. and husband Jason King of Tennessee and Jodie and husband Dave Barclay of Flushing; 11 great grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by her Parents; great granddaughter, Kristeena Burchianti; 2 sisters, Mirjam Hilden and Lillian Nieminen.
