RAY, Paul M. Jr. - Age 68, of Flushing, died Monday, December 6, 2010 at the VA Medical Center, Ann Arbor. Funeral Mass will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, December 11, 2010 at St. Bartholomew's Anglican Church, 9252 Miller Road, Swartz Creek, with Fr. Gene Geromel officiating. Visitation will be held at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Friday from 11:00 AM - 2:00 PM and 4-8 PM. In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make contributions in memory of Paul to St. Bartholomew's Anglican Church. Paul was born October 8, 1942 in Akron, OH, the son of Paul, Sr. and Ruth (Showalter) Ray. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army stationed in Ft. Bragg, NC, where he served as a chaplain's assistant. He married Lynn W. Moore September 12, 1964 in Akron, OH. Paul worked in the transportation Industry for 25 years. He was an active member at St. Bartholomew's Anglican Church. Surviving are: wife, Lynn; 3 children, Paul, III and wife Lisa Ray of Swartz Creek, Lisa and husband Steve Maas of Flushing and Michelle and husband Bob Cole of Flushing; 5 precious grandchildren, Matthew, Alexander, Andrew, Samuel and Blake; mother, Ruth Ray of Oklahoma; 2 brothers, Larry and wife Anna Ray of Ohio and Ronnie Ray of Oklahoma; sister, Penny VonThaer of Oklahoma; several nieces and nephews.
