Paul Peter Papes

PAPES, Paul Peter - Age 86, of Swartz Creek, passed away Sunday, July 21, 2024. Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11:00 AM Wednesday, July 24, 2024 at St. Mary Queen of Angels Catholic Church, Swartz Creek. Rev. Fr. Rudy Papes CSsR celebrant. Arrangements provided by Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek.  Burial in St. Mary Catholic Cemetery, Swartz Creek. Visitation will be held at the Church Wednesday from 10 AM until the time of the Mass. 

Paul was born June 28, 1938 in Swartz Creek, the son of Stephen and Anna (Stefik) Papes. He was a 1956 graduate of Mary Crapo High School in Swartz Creek and he received a Bachelor's Degree from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. He had resided in Swartz Creek his entire life. Paul was a member of St. Mary Queen of Angels Catholic Church. He was an avid sports fan. 

Surviving are: his brothers, Rev. Fr. Rudy Papes CSsR and Bernard Papes both of Swartz Creek and Stephen Papes of Genesee; nieces and nephew, Gloria, Carl and Brenda. He was preceded in death by his parents, Stephen and Anna Papes; sister, Mary Papes; brother, Fr. Joseph Papes; and sister-in-law, Betty Papes.  Tributes may be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com.
