Paul Heying

HEYING, Paul Joseph Sr. - Age 92, of Fenton, died December 3, 2016. Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11 AM Monday, December 5, 2016 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 600 N. Adelaide St., Fenton. Visitation will be held 3-8 PM Sunday at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Rd., Fenton and from 10 AM until the time of mass Monday at church. Those desiring may make contributions to St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. Services will also be held in California at a later date. Paul was born February 25, 1924 in Brooten, MN, one of 13 children of Ernest and Mary Heying. Following high school he was drafted to the U.S.Navy, where he served 24 years. He then went on to work for Hughes Aircraft Company retiring after 19 years. Paul volunteered at the cancer ward of St. Joseph Hospital in California and made rosaries for many people. He loved bird watching and golfing. Surviving are: wife, Jeanne Mitchell-Heying; children, Kathleen (Les) Common, Timothy (Annette) Heying, Paul Joseph (Lisa) Heying Jr.; step-children, Tom (Samara) Mitchell, Monica (Donald) Callen, Colleen (Todd) Tucker; many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews; siblings, Genevieve Linhoff, Ernest Heying Jr., Dolores "Babe" Schloeder.
