DREVON, Paul Eugene - Age 82, of Flint, died August 2, 2017. A funeral mass will be celebrated 11AM Tuesday, August 8, 2017 at St. John Vianney Catholic Church, 2319 Bagley St., Flint. Father Douglas Osborn celebrant. Visitation will be held 1PM-3PM and 5PM-9PM Monday with a 7PM rosary being prayed, followed by a Knights of Columbus 3rd and 4th degree service at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek. The family will greet friends at the church from 10AM until time of mass. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. John Vianney Catholic School. Paul was born May 30, 1935 in Flint, the son of the late Henri Drevon and Agnes Cassibo. He married Mary Elizabeth Doyle on June 29, 1957 at St. Agnes Catholic Church in Flint. Paul attended St. Agnes Catholic School and graduated from Sacred Heart High School. He then completed the GM Tool and Die Maker apprenticeship program and worked for General Motors as a Tool and Die Maker for 41 years before retiring in 1995. Paul joined the Knights of Columbus in 1955 where he served in Council 695 as a 3rd degree grand knight, deputy grand knight, financial secretary, treasurer, trustee, lecturer, membership chairman, columbus crusader, advertising and fundraiser coordinator. He also served as a 4th degree trustee. Paul is survived by his loving wife, Mary; children, Paul (Bonnie) Drevon of Swartz Creek, Dave (Lucy) Drevon of Flint, Steve (Amber) Drevon of Aurora, CO, Ellen (David) Otto of Mason, OH, Mary (Dean) Smith of Flint, Carolyn (John) Lipinski of Saginaw, Julie (Ray) Atherton of Flushing, Theresa (Matt) Purcell of Grand Blanc, Ann (Bob) Camara of Grand Blanc, Mike Drevon of Saline, Joe (Kim) Drevon of Flint, and Beth (Adam) Holifield of Grand Blanc; 32 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; and brother, Brother Charles Drevon C.S.C. of Indiana.
