BUECHE, Paul Daniel - age 58, of Swartz Creek, died Thursday, May 15, 2014 at Karmanos Cancer Center in Detroit. Funeral mass will be celebrated 11 AM Monday, May 19, 2014 at St. Robert Bellarmine Catholic Church, 310 N. Cherry St. with Fr. Dan Kogut celebrant. Interment will follow at St. Robert Cemetery. Visitation will be held 2-9 PM Sunday at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek. There will be a vigil service held at 7 PM Sunday at the funeral home. Visitation will also be held from 10 AM until the time of mass at the church on Monday. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Robert School, Powers Catholic, or the Karmanos Cancer Center. Paul was born March 11, 1956 in Flint, the son of Philip and Judith (Streicher) Bueche. He was a graduate of Powers Catholic High School. Paul married Connie Reeder on October 10, 1992. He started his career in law enforcement with the City of Flushing. Paul was a police officer with numerous communities until settling in Swartz Creek in 1977. He was promoted to Sergeant in 1985 and appointed Chief of Police in 1995. Paul continued his service to the community when he was appointed City Manager of Swartz Creek in 2002. He served on numerous boards including the 911 Board, Planning Commission, and Chief of Police Association. Surviving are: wife Connie; sons Ryan Bueche of Swartz Creek, Daniel (Ashley) Bueche of Marysville and Tim Bueche of Grand Blanc. He also leaves his beloved grandchildren Joshua and Madison Bueche and their mother Annie Bueche; mother-in-law Carol Reeder; brothers and sisters: Mariane (Matt) Crumm, Phyllis (Ted) Zofchak, Denny (Cheryl) Bueche, Chris (Darcy) Bueche, Terri (Jeff) Tomczak, Philip (Colleen) Bueche; step-mother Renate Bueche and her daughter Sandy (Runar) Andersen; many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins; Lisa "Minelli" Badgley and trusted life-long friend Rick Clolinger.
